***Letter from the player in charge of organizing the Talent Development Program***
Dear chess prodigies and enthusiasts,
The Malaysian Chess Federation has come up with a plan to improve the level of Malaysian chess on the whole and has therefore decided to open the training meant for the 2016 Malaysian Olympiad squad to the public. The MEN'S team members who have qualified are IM Mok Tze Meng, IM Jimmy Liew, NM Ng Tze Han, NM Kamal Abdullah and Sumant Subramaniam. The WOMEN'S team consists of WFM Puteri Rifqah Fahada, WFM Nur Najiha, WFM Alia, WFM Tan Li Ting and last but definitely not least, our 2016 women's National Champion WCM Nur Nabila!
This is the first time in Malaysia that MCF has opened up spots for the general population of chess players to participate in the elite training of the flag-bearers. Therefore, it is an amazing opportunity for everyone to observe the training processes of the very best chess players in the country and emulate them to reach greater heights. This event is meant to be fun and instructive and therefore verbal interaction with the Olympians are encouraged.
